Beach District Tourney, May 19-24

Pretty quiet.... ? cmon' all you prognosticaters, coaches, scouts, dads, moms, officionatos (spl.?)... Or maybe even the Babe could give her nickels worth ?
The weather forecast looks great for the weekend anyway. Good luck to all the qualifying schools ! Looking forward watching some well played baseball !!!

The first two look predictable, The second two can go either way ,I think. I just hope for good close games .

*Upset Landstown over Salem
Kellam over OL
Cox over PA
*Upset Kempsville over FC (gotta take a long shot!)
I think Cox will end up the other team going to regionals.

I can't disagree with you on there being upsets. Considering how this season has gone, I think you can count on at least one upset in the first round. PA played Cox tough during the season. Landstown will have to control Salem on the basepath/bunt defense to stay in the game

All non-Kellam Best of the Best players have transferred to Landstown High School in order to host the District Tournament. This team on paper looks stronger than the mighty Kellam Knights!!

Oh that’s right we tried this for years and failed, Drillers I mean Kellam Wins.

Congrats to Kellam for winning the Beach District regular Season 2 years in a row. Lots of hard work from great kids, parents and coaches.
Still more to achieve this year and a senior year to look forward to.

Hard to pick against them, even with a bid to regions wrapped up

Driller, The Fabulous Sports Babe? You'll have the young guys asking who's that. If she were to predict, I think she would go with most folks on this one.... Kellam. Should be some great games on Saturday.

Field still has a few puddles, but nothing major as of now.

Sorry for my absence, but I am not the one you want to ask about predictions. This has been one of the longest baseball seasons of my life. I am the fan that has had to persevere through the ODU season not the coach, he was at least getting paid!

As far as the beach tourney, Kellam is in the driver's seat. No pressure and games can truly be played to learn and grow. Best of luck and get those boys to jump out early and stay ahead! At the next stage they are going to have to get ahead early, practice it now!

If they win today or tomorrow at least they finish the season on a high note. Things will pick up, hang in there kid. And enjoy your cookout (have a steak on me)!
