I just heard that Chris Taylor from Cox was named player of the year at the Beach....
If this is true.....Congrats Chris....and good luck at UVA next year.

Shutumdown- As far as I know, the only criteria is that you have to play baseball for a Beach team and you have to win a vote of the coaches. IMO, Jeff Difulgo certainly warranted strong consideration. As did Blake Boyce and Richie Salter.

None other, and you of course wrestled for PA. Good to hear from you Terry! Chris wrestled thru MS, but gave it up for his true passion once he got to Cox...very good decision in my opinion

Thanks. Dylan had a great year as well...probably the first pitcher to have two grand slams in a season since Frank Berry. Pitchers have it tough in terms of the stat most people judge them by (won/loss record). As we all know, those records are influenced greatly by the teams you face and the support you get (both offensively and defensively). Dylan had great numbers, but may have had even better ones if he wasn't routinely facing some of the toughest teams in each outing. I expect he will give us a battle tonight as always.

I've got no problem with that at all...in fact, I'm sure Chris wouldn't mind sharing the award with all the Cox seniors. Not taking anything at all from the underclassmen ... all were instrumental in the Falcons' success (their time is coming and it will be up to them to lead next year's team), but it really was a special group of seven kids that decided this was going to be their year and worked very hard to accomplish it. Each and every one contributed in a big way and I'm very proud Chris had a part in it.
