Landstown 4 Cox 3
A real nail-biter where the game could of went either way. Both pitchers did well considering the winds were gusting up to 15mph plus blowing out; Mattis (chksp) for Cox and Lawhorn for Landstown.
Butler tripled in the bottom of the first which was followed by 3B Robert Perkins first of two hits.
Raymond Mance would go deep for the Eagles in the bottom of the 2nd.
The Falcons would scratch a run in both the 4th and 5th and with the score tied at 2 in the top of the 6th; Cox would score on a solo Home Run by #9 (I need help with the players name) to takee a 3-2 lead.
Landstown would load the bases in the bottom of the 6th when DH/Julios Scott would hit a ball deep into the left-field corner to plate two runs.
Cox would get a couple more runners on in the top of the 7th, but a flyout to right would end the game.
Cameron Butler had two throwouts of would be base-stealers and a pick-off at 2nd base.
Cox was getting runners on all day, but couldn't produce the big hit.
You can see the talent on Cox is there and season turn around is still very possible.
Congratulations to Kellam winning their game at Tallwood to go 4-0 on the young season.
