As much as it pains me to post this, I guess you have to take the bad with the good...

Congrats to the Kellam Knights as they upended the Falcons this evening 13-4. I apologize for not knowing all the names on the Kellam side, but their starting pitcher did a great job holding the Falcons at bay until Zach Bach's 3 run HR in the 6th. The damage for Kellam was done by several players. Again, not certain on all the players, but I know James Taylor had a double and a bunt single and I believe their RF had two or three hits as well. Hopefully, someone from Kellam will chime in with better info. Unfortunately, not many bright spots on the Cox side. Hopefully they can bounce back from this disappointing performance on Friday against Kempsville.

Princess Anne won 9-4 against Salem HS. Ben Tomchick pitched 6 innings with 1 earned run. Robbie Newman, Salem's catcher, hit a bomb to LF. But it was too late to make a difference. Salem scored first with a unearned run in the 3rd. PA answered with 5 runs in the top of the 3rd. PA also scored 3 in the 4th making it 8-1. Cardwell started PA's scoring with a LD up the middle.
Salem scored a run in the 6th and two in the top of 7th (one a HR). PA finished with a run in the 6th. Tomchick went 2-3, John Matos also was 2-3. PA bashed out 10 hits off of 3 Salem pitchers. Nate Vosler took the loss.
PA goes against Green Run this Friday.

Congratulations to Coach St. Clair and Kellam with their first win of the season. What about the First Colonial game? Any one got any info on that? Should be good games around the beach on Fridays Schedule.

Tallwood looked a bit sloppy in their loss. From their pitcher going from the wind-up with runners on first and second (both FC runners catching it and advancing - no one on Tallwood side noticing)to not knowing what to do as base-runners on an infield Fly. FC looked solid, Smith & Fischetti combined on the shut-out. FC has several sophomores and a Freshman on varsity along with a majority of juniors, this looks to be a young, deept team.......

Kellam played a very good game last night on both sides of the ball. I dont beleave in singling out any players because it's a team sport, but they all played their "A" game last night. Like i said before they'er a very young team with a lot of up side and years to go. Starting Player's from last nights game SR Jeremy Tenney 2nd, JR's James Taylor CF, Tate Desmet RF, George Brown LF, Ryan Matalon SS, Richard Dejesus 3rd, SOPH's Patrick Harrington C, Jeff Difulgo P, and Ryan Kilmon 1st. I did like the way Cox's Player kept trying and never put there head down.

Who is the frosh?

Ryan (? I think) Cook, only had one at bat yesterday but I here he may push some of the upper classmen for playing time as the year goes on.
