Landstown 4 Tallwood 3 (9 innings)
Fortunate win; too many men left on base.
With bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th, Julius Scott's base-hit with two-out & two strikes (the ball hit the top of the fence in left-center between the 358' gap and the 380' center sign and bounced back onto the field) Edit: knocked in the winning run.
Kyle Lawhorn led off the inning with a double down the left-field line. Cameron Day popped out to 2nd then Cameron Butler was intentionally walked. Ray Mance followed with texas-leaguer to center (the pinch-runner (for Lawhorn) had to go part way to see if the ball would be caught); Mike Fedunewiecz hit a one-hopper to third whith the 3rd-baseman going home for the FC then Scott followed with the clutch hit.
Landstown opened the scoring in the 4th with a Robert Perkins two rbi single (two-hits on the day). Tallwood would scratch a run off starter Michael Curry in the top of the 5th. Landstown would counter with a run in the bottom-half of the frame. L 3-1.
With two-outs in the top of the 6th, Taylor Topping would start a two-run rally with a double. With the score tied at 3 (after a wild-pitch) and runners on, Cameron Butler would come in relief.
Cameron Butler had 7 k's over 3 1/3rd.
Great effort by Tallwood; their starting pitcher did a good job while their catcher was tremendous behind the plate not allowing a wild pitch or pass ball.
