Landstown 4 First Colonial 0
Kyle Lawhorn (Jr) 6 innings of two-hit ball. Cameron Butler (Sr) closed the 7th recording a couple strikeouts.
Juniors Jordan Eagan and Trevor Henson pitched for FC. They both pitched extremely well, especially Henson in relief. Eagan pitch count must of ran high.
Landstown scored in their top of the first with RBI single from Cameron Day (Soph); Day led the Eagles with two hits for the game.
The Patriots threatened in the bottom of 2nd. After a walk and their first hit of the game, a sacrifice advanced the runners to 2nd/3rd. But they were left stranded. Again in the bottom the 3rd a runner reached third (lead-off with their 2nd hit)for FC with only one out. But comebacker to the pitcher and a line-out to SS killed the threat.
The Defense for Landstown was stellar and real difference in the game. The Eagles were able to capitalize on a couple Patriot mistakes with some timely hits.
The Patriots hit a couple balls hard, but the defense was there to make the plays.
Edit: Congratulations to Michael Curry (FR) on his first Varsity hit; here's hoping for many more.
