Landstown 3 Bayside 2 (12 innings)!!

Quick moving game until the extra innings kept piling up.

Bayside struck first with 2 runs off starter Kyle Lawhorn, but Lawhorn would keep the marlins bats at bay the rest of the way. I believe he had 8 or 9 Ks, but also 3 walks and to HBPs.

It was 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh when the eagles tied it up to force extra innings. First runner scored from third on a fielders choice, then with two outs, Cameron Butler hit a in the gap stnad up double to score the runner and tie things at 2.

Lawhorn had some trouble locating in the 8th, and Butler relieved him. Would end up going to the twelth, recorded 6 or 7 Ks, but also walked 2.

In the bottom of the eleventh, the eagles had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs, with the 3,4,5 batters coming up. It looked like it was about to be over....but....Cameron Day SMOKED a line drive to the left fielders face, Cam Butler hit a line drive shot to center, and mike feduniewicz grounded out to the pitcher.

To the twelth, error by the third baseman put ray mance on second. Would try to get sac bunted over but the bunt was short and the catcher threw mance out at third. Sophomore Colton Langejans hit a shot down the left field line. Runner from first would go all the way around to score the walk off double.

The eagles were playing solid baseball defensively in the infield; 3B Robert Perkins and SS Ray Mance played great.

As you read in the paper this morning, Landstown is #1 in the region. Congrats Eagles on the new ranking and comeback win.

Tough game at Cox Friday. Not sure who will throw. Should be a good one!

Thanks, I was trying to post with what information I had.

From what I hear Cox and Kellam rolled today. Cox is Red-Hot now at the right time.
The Falcons won 13-1 to extend their streak to 10. Richie Salter gave up 1 unearned run in the first and proceeded to throw a 3-hitter to cool the bats of the Patriots who came in on a bit of a roll themselves. I believe Matt Ittner had at least 3 hits and Kyle Profilet finished off the Patriots with a 2 out grand slam in the bottom of the 5th.

From Hamptonroads.com

Cox 13, First Colonial 1

Kyle Profilet ripped a grand slam and the No. 10 Falcons (10-7, 9-4) romped in a Beach District game.

Drew Wilkinson, Austin Erb and Matt Ittner combined for six RBIs.

#10 Cox 13, First Colonial 1
First Colonial 100 00 — 1 3 3
Cox 202 09 — 13 11 3
W—Salter (4-2). L—Egan (1-3). HR—C, Profilet (1).

What happened in the Kellam/PA game???

Three hits for PA (that's the bottom line). Throw in some errors and not the sharpest pitching as we have had and you have the making for one of those games. My hat is off to Kellams' Brian Peterson however. Surrending three hits in his first start was quite impressive. Hard to wonder why he hasn't had more starts.
Ocean Lakes comes back to beat Green Run 6 to 5.
Green Run struck first in the top of the second with a Homerun by Robert Stone (2) but OL struck back with 2 run homerun by Pat Hall (3). I beleive Buie came in for OL and Jeff Crawford hit a 3 run homerun putting the Stallions back on top 4 to 2. With OL chipping away and a Frankie Lewis Homerun put the Dolphins up 6-4 in the top of the 7th. The Stallions were able to scrap away 1 in the 7th and had a runner on 3rd with 2 outs to tie but couldnt get him across.

Congrats to Landstown on their new ranking. Friday should be a great game
