I know HS baseball has started...come on.... there has got to be some dads out there who know to much about baseball...gosh...in my days we would have had 120 post and 700 reviews by now....I'll start it

Beach District.

FC...this is Stubies team...all of Norbies boys have moved on...can he do it with his boys this year!

PA....I'm sure Jimmy's got something up his sleeve...I'm not sure if there are any Beamers or Hudson out there...(see Kempsville)

Cox...I hear they are the favorite to roll everyone! ( same old thing in 03,04,05 etc )

Kellam...I know St Clair has got some ballplayers somewhere. Are the Sinnen twins old enough yet?

Salem...how about Zell ball...are they still playing small ball...or is the bunt finally an lost art and he decided to move the fence to 275 down the lines and 350 to center.

Kempsville...I'm sure 2 or 3 players have transferred somewhere?

Bayside & Greenrun...do they even have ball teams over there?

Landstown...the best field or have the outfield weeds overgrown that place by now.

oh yea...Ocean who

who's the favorite....come on pipe it up and keep it clean.

i think that this year is going to be a very tight year like always. PA FC cox and k-ville will all be up there for the championship honors this year i believe (k-ville only in their because of ramirez). Teams like salem and ocean lakes are decent and could surprize people but still don't have enough depth in thier lineups. Also i think that kellam lost everything last year and doesn't really have much to say in the district this year
PA's got two of the best hitters in the region - Corsner (switch) and Mann (left). Pitching depth may be the achille's heel.

FC brings Berry, Boyce, and Smith to the mound as well as being good hitters. Davidson adds a very solid bat and fielder. Think they could be in th hunt. Question mark on who will be the other half of the middle IF and who will step up to play third (understand Anderson not playing this year).

Kellam reloading - but don't count out St Clair's team. Jason Taylor's brother should be at the point where he may contribute. Not sure of the arms available.

Bayside has some talent to suprise some teams - would not take them lightly. As they say - "on any given day..."

Rumor has it that Cox lost pitching depth - D2/D3 recruit Andy Rosier moved.

Re: Cox will defintely be the "pre-season" favorite with strong Senior leadership and a talented group of juniors. BC and his team will be focused this season.
FC will surely be around the top of the beach district and return some strong players. Their middle IF will be strong and YES, Anderson is playing and will be in that line-up.
PA will be strong and Hunt will have them ready. K'ville is going to do well, that is NO surprise because anyone who watches Beach games knows they are a solid team... Same for Salem who are young and TALENTED. I feel Bayside and OL will do well and one of these two teams will make noise this year. Kellam??? Lost a lot of talent... A new Taylor will not make a differnce this year, maybe in the next 1 or 2 and he is NOT Jason. They will find ways to win games and get solidly into the district tournament.
Tallwood, GR, Landstown... always 'Rebuilding' instead of 'Reloading' each year!
You can not win a District with 1 or 2 good players. There are a ton of teams in the beach with 1 or 2 really strong players. Cox has a great team on paper and will do well with both of their pitchers and Justin. FC always has good kids out there and will compete. After that there are only a couple kids per team. Kempsville=Ramirez=wins there is nothing else. PA = Mann/Corsner. Kellam = ?. OL = Fitzgerald/Six. Salem = Tons of kids. Bayside = 13 returning juniors(7 starters). Tallwood = Brinkley. Green Run = ?. Landstown = extremely young. It is going to be a free for all for 2nd through 8th.
I would agree about Reid but the other one needs to find the plate. Cox will not be "unstoppable" but they will or should be in the "mix" Good, even district this year

I like Salem for their first 6 hitters (fall ball). Not sure about their pitching. Cox and FC should be there.

Hickory has a good team. Ward, their lefty, is pretty good though lost his control in scrimmage. #25, their catcher is big and can hit the ball. 4 for 5 with 3 doubles vs PA in scrimmage. Western Branch should be good with some of their young players I saw last summer.
