14U squirrely age group. 2019's in HS, only 2020's around. We will play PG WWBA in Lakepoint as our "big deal" tourney. Otherwise spring will be slim pickins for competitive tournaments.
You'll have to drive really fast to make Milwaukee to Atlanta in 8 hours.

I am trying to talk them into going to lakepoint as our 'big deal' tournament. I have noticed less 14u teams in tournaments than 13u. I guess that must be due to magic birthday kids starting to play with their class. Even more important to find quality tournaments.
Our fall schedule is two Nations tournaments (about 18 teams in each) and three 16U tournaments. I suspect the 16U tournaments are unsanctioned 4/8 team tournaments that the orgs get together, hire umpires and play at a local high school.
There are enough kids around Houston that 14U spring will have plenty of tournaments, but competition will be spotty. Son is on same team as 13U, it's all the same kids, they are all 2020's and competed decently at 13U, even though many teams were heavy with 2019's. PG will have a couple qualifiers in the Spring within a 100 miles or so.
I really liked the PG World Series 14U in Fort Myers. 16 of the best 14U teams in the country for my son's first PG event. Was a really wonderful experience in level of competition for him. I know you can't drive there in 8 hours. But you can certainly fly!

TBS in Elizabethtown, KY. Looks like about 7 hours from Milwaukee.
The complex is about 3 years old and has good fields. Hotel selection in limited, but you do have to stay in Elizabethtown.
The Pastime tourney in South Bend is good....good competition and good fields.
