I'm with you Coach B25. But, as you may know, Carp isn't as good on the road as he is at home. Good game last night...Weaver and the bullpen were fine. The Redbirds hit the ball on the nose a few times, but right at people. Glavin was great (and an ump with a wide strikezone (but consistent and fair) didn't help us). And, Beltran is still haunting us (how can you forget a couple years ago his NLCS against St. Louis when he was with Houston).

Getting in my car and driving from Chicago to St. Louis tomorrow (stopping in Champaign and Peoria to pick up my sons) and catching Game 3. Can't wait. Go Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
boris, you'll drive right past our farm on your way to St. Louis. When you hit Troy, Illinois, Interstates 55, 70, and 270 all merge then split again. You will pass a Cracker Barrel Resturaunt at the 1st exit for Troy. Our farm is right there. However, my Wife and I live in town. Have a safe drive! Oh, you'll be just less than 20 miles to Busch Stadium from there.

Go Cards!

Beltran.....

Here's Weaver, turning in another amazing postseason performance (considering during the season I figured a beer-league sotball team would score at least four off him), making a mistake against Beltran.

Low and away, man, low and away. Nothing else. Not even as a joke....

However, I've been around baseball all my life and know a bit about the game. (You guys may want to write this down): It has been my observation that you won't win a game unless you score at least one run.

Glavine lived outside. No adjustment. In the last few games most every at-bat by the Cards calls to mind a Dominican looking to get off the island. Take a #$%&*! pitch, why don't you. Our concern for the health and longevity of the opponent's starter's arms is, indeed, touching.

The neighbor's may be calling the cops tonight if they continue to hear the screaming coming from my place..... Wink
Orlando,

Here is my dream for tonight.

Right before gametime - the announcer begins to call out the starting lineup.

He gets to #9 in the Mets order - and hesitates.

He says "Ladies and gentlemen - we have a late scratch to the Mets lineup. Trachsel will not be pitching. The Mets have penciled in someone else. Its very hard to read.
S - E - a - v - E - R.
Oh yes - by golly!!! It is ..... Tom Seaver."

Ya Gotta Believe!!!
