This tool served us very well. I'd say if your son is a D2, D3,or NAIA type player that is open to a wide geographical area. It can be cost effective way to reach out to coaches you may not normally have access to. With the premium package, we found the tools to sort schools basd on our personal criteria useful. My son sent of many letters using the form letters they have availible. We als conitnually uploaded video and kept the profile uopdated with stats and academics. The school he eventually committed to did access his profile frequently as they were aware we kept his profile current over the span of two years.
I do want to clarify that most of our more serious communication with schools occured outside the website, it was a great tool to keep our communication organized.

The one draw back is that we received numerous emails to attend showcases and camps from organizations we have never heard of.

All in All it was very effective for pur pruposes.
Be Recruited was a great tool for my 2011 player in terms of keeping his recruiting information in one organized place. He regularly used the form letter and search tools to communicate with coaches and schools. It also provided him with a secure place to organize his biographical information and stats. The premium level allows you to keep track of the coaches who have shown interest. The one time "Deluxe" upgrade is a bargain. Obviously a player has to be seen in order to get recruited and no web site is going substitute. nonetheless, Be Recruited was very helpful in keeping the process of recruitment on track and organized.
Carmelpitcher where did your son end up going? Were there many coaches who showed interest through be recruited...did they go to the site and then follow up. Just trying to get a feel of it for my 2013 son. We currently use it, just wondering if we should upgrade...if it is worth it. I am just not sure how many college coaches actually check it????
Not trying to hijack the thread, but my son and I have begun establishing his profile on beRecruited and so far it's quite easy to set up, but I have a question: When posting video, beRecruited has the following message/warning:

"1) In accordance with NCAA ByLaw 13.14.3, NCAA college coaches may only view footage of you on recruiting websites in "sanctioned events" which are regularly scheduled games from high school, prep school and two-year colleges. Only footage that meets that criteria should be included in any profile that you have on any online recruiting site, including beRecruited.com."

Has anyone else come across this message? Most of the best video of my son would be in "non-sanctioned" events and/or workouts, so I'd obviously like to post this video to beRecruited.
Sportmom - my son had a lot of coaches reviewing his web site on Be Recruited. Some were just looking and for some it was a point of departure that lead to ongoing contact. In his case it was worth the expense of the upgrade. Again, now web site is going to get a player recruited. Coaches want to see players perform, often times more than once. He ended up being recruited to play D1 ball at West Point and leaves in 3 weeks for basic. Good luck in the recruiting process!
