Sounds like the Express is the south side answer to the Norwood Blues. Can you Express guys tell me how long they have been in existence? Good Luck to you fellows.
Down here in Southern Illinois we feel we are putting a pretty good team together with th SI bullets. As of now we have a pitching staff of Casey Morris of Herrin SR. 93-94, Patrick Keating Harrisburg Jr. 86-87, Michael Broadway Pope Co. Jr. 89-90, Eric Barrett LHP Marion Jr. 88 tops 85 ave. as our starting rotation, not top mention several other solid pitchers from the south. Our middle infield Mark Chamness(SS) and Ryan Bittle(2b) from A-J have signed with John A. Logan College and our third baseman Joe Baldi from West Frankfort has signed with Rend Lake JC. We are still filling out all of the other positions but we feel we will have a very solid team this summer. We are playing tournamentsin Dayton Ohio, Indianapolis, Evansville and at Austin Peay U., not to mention the ones we have down here. I'd like to here if anyone else has any teams in some of these tourneys.

During the past weekend the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA) honored WI Blazer coaches Andy Stack (Blazer25) and Kirk Gardner as the Volunteer Coaches of the Year at the WBCA Hall of Fame Induction luncheon. Considering the potential conflicts between High School and Travel teams this was a very noteworthy award. The Blazers showing at the 2003 WWBC tournament in Jupiter indicates that travel baseball in the whole midwest is on the rise.
Congrats to Andy Stack...a truly nice guy...from Chicagoland.
Great job Andy and Kirk! Congrats. I certainly hope that EVERY Travel AND HS coach using this board will take notice. Much has been discussed here regarding the benefits of travel and HS baseball. The truth is that @ least for the future college/pro player we need to not just co-exist but to work in harmony.

Watch out for Larish! Murphy said he has the greatest swing he has EVER seen. What a compliment!Such a nice kid, too. Very down to earth knowing that he should be in the top 10 selections on draft day. Somebody once asked about size...don't care what the roster says, 3/4 of team (or at least the ones I met) is 6'0 or under.
Just saw him DH for the Phillies.
