Best affordable wood bat

We like Max Bats. Not sure what anyone thinks is affordable. About $90-100 I think.

All wood bats break and I agree with papi...affordable is different to different people.

Old Hickory bats go for about $75 (at least they did 2 years ago). On their website they sell blems bundled in 3's for about $125.00, though you can't pick the style.

They also sell bats at PG events with a guarantee to replace the bat if it breaks during that event. They sell blems at these events also.

Catcher uses the Mizuno Maple (Cherry in color). You can pick them up at any Dick's Sporting Goods for $77.99/ea or $64.99 - $79.99 online. He's had very good luck with this bat lasting (knock on wood). Besides, I'm sure Noah wants to emulate Mason as much as possible.

Son uses a Rawlings Adirondack Pro 433AP Ash 33/30... I get them for $39.99 at the Rawlings Factory Store here in Orlando... They have a 10% off coupon that I use all the time as well... Great Bat!

First wood bat purchase was the Mizuno Maple (79.99), it lasted about 4 months before 2016 got sawed off. Replaced it with two Rawlings Adirondack’s Ash (79.98 for both). Both Rawlings are still intact and have seen more use than the Mizuno. To be honest with you, I didn’t think they would last.

Great unfinished bats. Bone them. Spray a finish on em and sand a little. Great maple bats for $22.

Son used Academa's A-829's for the last two years and absolutely loved them! They were about $20-25 each.

I bought the Marucci blem bat pack (3 bats) from JustBats at Christmastime for my son, for (IIRC) about $60 per bat. They are unfinished, but other than that, it is really hard to tell why they are "blem" bats. So far, they have held up really well though mostly just in off-season workouts. they haven't really been tested yet, and probably won't until later in the summer on the showcase/wood-bat circuit.

The problem is he has broken 3 Rawlings wood bats since January, and all in practice. I only paid about $40 per bat, but wonderered whether hickory or something else would last much longer.

By the way catcherz dad, Noah does aspire to be like Mason.

Junior likes the end-weighted c243's. End weighted means thin handle, and man do they break. Recently moved to Rawlings maplex, but they are hard to find and have to get them on line at Rawlings. I once watched as he broke 2 c243's in one at-bat. I almost cried.

Both my sons have used Phoenix bat's, both have been very happy with them. Older son plans to take several with him this summer.

Buy the Brett Maple/Bamboo bat at Justbats for $59.00.

This has some of the best pop for dollar.

My 13 yr old son has used it in practice and league games. Still going strong.

baum bats. not cheap but your just going to buy one. it will last till he knows how to square up balls on the barrel and not break as many.

The Brett Brothers Gobon bat is made with a bamboo core, a fiberglass layer, and a maple shell. It comes with a 120 day warrantee against breakage. My son's bat has lasted 2 seasons of wood bat tourneys and 2-3x per week in the cages.

That Brett GOBON271 looks like a nice bat and has good reviews. I don't really see the difference between that one and the Brett MB110 since both have a bamboo core wrapped around with maple.
I like the warranty with the GOBON271 but for another $20.00 I can buy two (2) of the MB110.
