FastballDad, I've always appreciated your kind words about that team. We could all make an argument for our teams. One team left off of the poll but prominent in the State Records for the State Championship series is the 1990 Edwardsville Team. An example would be earned runs allowed at state = 1. Walks allowed = 2. Most of those team members returned and were a part of that amazing 64 wins in a row which is also a state record. Naturally, Cliff Floyd has something to say about that in 1991.
Coach, our Barrington Team was dismantled by Lockport in the semis last spring and it was a very good team to say the least. While our '98 Team also lost in the semis and didn't get the chance to see E-Ville in the finals I did watch and see what they did in Geneva...no one was even close. And that was an excellent field in '98.....I think a bit better than this past season.

We did have a game or two against you guys in Legion and they were epic battles and no matter how we played we just couldn't beat Edwardsville. But then again no one could.
I didn't get to see that 98 Edwardsville team. We were still a small school then but I sure have heard about them and what they could do. Since we went AA and now play Edwardsville on our schedule and ended up meeting them in the Regional final 2 years in a row.....I have come to appreciate their program. They are the only Southwestern Confereence team we haven't beaten. That 98 team must have really ben good.
85 BENGALS- Set records in MANY categories
2006 OF Bengals State Champs.. line up with a ton of seniors, and some stud juniors. Word from some freinds down south that Norkus and Maziur singed letters of intent to Kentucky, and Texas Christian anyone know anything about it? I also heard they have a new transfer pitcher/infielder from Minooka who is pretty darn good.
