The Wakeland/Heath game will be fun to watch but with both teams in the middle of district play they will be throwing #3/#4's. This could potentialy be a prelude to the 1st round of the playoffs or more likely the state quarterfinals (assuming I'm viewing thr UIL bracket correctly).

corsicana-poteet game turned out to be a great one. 1-0 win for poteet with two great pitching performances. Corsicana pitcher and Navarro College commit Gage Curry held Poteets bats in check until the 5th when 2 long flyballs to leftfield were misplayed and allowed the only run of the game. two Poteet rallies were cut short by catcher Matt Wilkins throwing out base stealers at 3rd base. the poteet battery was also on their game holding the tigers in check. a leadoff double by Wilkins and a single to rightfield by Grounds were negated by a baserunning error. the tigers last at bat saw Heath Donica try to tie the game in one swing, but the ball hit the base of the wall in left center resulting in a triple. an attempted squeeze play saw the bunt roll foul by about 1 foot. poteet pitcher ended the rally and secured the victory and sole possesion of 1st place in district 15-4a. game was completed in 1 hour 10 minutes.
