Top senior catcher is Tommy Kane, Bayside, I think he is still Undecided, top Junior catcher is Christian Younce, Kellam, I'm sure I missed a few from the SED, I just know the Beach, and Those 2 guys, Kane and Younce, are pretty darn good, Kane's pop time is around 1.9 or better, and I heard Younce is down to 1.86 if not better. wow.
The best senior catcher on the defensive side would have to be Tommy Kane out of Bayside.

The best senior catcher on the offensive side would have to be Casey Bryant out of Ocean Lakes.

Just my opinion - I have not seen many catchers from Eastern District and Southeastern.....except N. Ellis (Junior) from Grassfield and he would be one of top two catchers in the area!!!!

Let's not get carried away. Ray is a good kid and solid player but that is a stretch by any means.

FYI, he IS playing in PA. I believe he will play summer ball down here. He went to a PG showcase this winter.

On topic...I think Kane and Bryant are cream of the local senior crop.

Whoa whoa, eassssyyy!!!

Ray is very very good behind the plate, and works very hard on his game, but I think it's pretty safe to say that this area has produced some pretty good catchers who have gone on to be pretty sucessful while playing in some pretty high levels of baseball!

I wish Ray the best and hope he goes on to play for many more years to come, but until he gets to where these players have been, lets hold off with the bold comparisons...

For the record (IMO):

2011: Kane (Bayside), Bryant (Ocean Lakes)

2012: Younce (Kellam), Ellis (Grassfield)
