Best Shortstops in Aurora area

Rob Elliott - Neuqua Valley / Upstate Eight - is the best shortstop in the area. I saw him play at the Kaiser Game and for Team Illinois this past summer. He hit over .480 last year with only 2 strikeouts. No one better with the glove either.

Played against both of them, both are real legit, but id have to take elliot over rodriquez only because of the competiton that NV faces and the success they have while playing....Dont get me wrong, rodriguez is a great player and will definatly be have D-1 schools at his doorstep by the end of his junior year...by the way, where has elliot gotten intrest from??

I totally agree. Elliott is a hitting machine is fundamentally sound. Elliott being the senior this year will be playing somewhere next fall (deservingly so). Hopefully Rodriguez continues to earn the recognition he deserves. The fact that E. Aurora has never been a baseball factory worries me when thinking of the exposure Rodriguez gets.
