The best thing about this game was watching the players shake hands after the game. It was quite obvious that these two teams respect and even like each other. Some of the players from each team came back together for more congratulations and even pictures with some players from each team after the official part was over. It was great to see the pure competition (both teams wanted to win) followed by the mutual respect. Good Stuff! (I did not see any slapping )

Since the game was 3 nights ago, I don't have a clear understanding why you drama queens keep talking about things? Why does DR feel that having a soap opera over there is a good thing? Why do they feel the need to have key people involved sweeep misdeeds under the rug and treat abnormal behavior as the status quo?
That whole administration needs to take a hard look at the entity they've created and tolerated.
It is not one that outside people admire nor strive to be a part of.
Is this Virginia High School Baseball Web? Truly, why is the drama always surrounding this particular school? Just curious, any schools pick up any of these power house boys with bionic arms? Other than two that I know of. If you ask anyone in the community, both those boys are what colleges want. Talented, coachable, will work hard and have a good head on their shoulders. Honestlty, coaches read facebook posts and hear who gets busted doing stupid stuff at parties. Parent your kids and teach them good values. Everything else should fall into place.

Shouldn't all the teams respect eachother? Most kids in the colonial, at least in the west end have grown up playing little league and talk to eachother while on base during a game while playing eachother. The fact that you act surprised by the teams respecting eachother must mean you are not used to seeing it at your games too much. Typically, unsportsmanlike conduct does not occur too frequently and would not be tolerated.
Wahoos80 - I have seen appropriate sportsmanship at and after MOST games. The after-game interaction at this game was particularly cordial and fun to watch. Pointing out something good does not mean other games were bad. Pointing out that a player had a particularly good game defensively is not a statement that he does not play well defensivley at most games. Not quite sure how making a purely positive comment can be turned around into something negative.
I thought this was a public forum that was set up for debates? If everyone was simply on here to agree with one another, it likely wouldnt be set up. We've all had differences in opinion at some point or another.
It was a bit odd that this type of sportsmanship needed to be pointed out. It should be the expected norm and expectation for all players on all teams, as well as their fans. Its unfortunate that is not always the case with certain schools.
Did you feel the need to point this out because the game before, hosted by DR, the conduct and sportsmanship was quite the opposite?

All we're doing here is some amateur prognosticating on how things might turn out. Of course, in a few weeks, most if not all of us will have been proved to have defective crystal balls. But in the meantime, such discussions are part of being a fan.

Unless you have cloned yourself, which some might say that you have, and are at ALL the games that you comment on, I really would refrain from making yourself look like you have NO idea what you are talking about. Your crystal ball is broken my friend and you have eaten quite a few feathers lately.

[Moderator comment: How appropriate that Wahoos80 should mention cloning, since so many of the posts on this thread are simply him using his various user names to create the appearance of an active discussion. This discussion is closed.]
