We got the schedule and a seven-day shutdown on the same day. Apparently six have tested positive, some for the second time.
We start in Texas. Hope it warms up there and the water is back on before the first weekend in March.
Yesterday I saw a statement from an Iowa player who was extremely frustrated. He stated that 4 players who had COVID in the fall tested positive. None have symptoms and at least a couple of them sought a second test from an outside facility that came back negative. He stated that the school would not allow the results from the outside test and refused to administer another test as part of their formal protocol. He is adamant that the initial tests were false positives.

Still don't understand the conference only schedule. Basketball is playing anyone and everyone...and early in the season they were rescheduling games on one or two days notice against non-B1G teams. It seems to me like they would be more worried about 10 guys being face to face and within inches of each other on a basketball court than guys OUTDOORS on a baseball field. The B1G handling of this entire thing....including football has been a complete cluster####. The B1G presidents and administration should be embarassed.....but I guess it could be worse....they could have handled Spring like the Ivy League

Don't try to make sense of anything the Big 10 does, it will just end up giving you a headache. To make matters worse, they are doing bus trips only. This is what the initial press release said, I can't imagine the Nebraska players are going to like that. Or anybody given how spread out the conference is.
I just looked at Nebraska’s schedule since they are the most western team.I would have thought the Big 10 would have split the conferences in half geographically for bus travel reasons. They didn’t. Rutgers travels to Nebraska. Nebraska travels to Penn State.
