I have been reading about the DBat, Mustang, Marshalls, Tiger, etc.. but what about the Blackhawks (Ft. Worth based)? From what I have heard this organization has been getting kids into D1 colleges for many years just as the before mentioned organizations. The guy running this organization (Eddie Aguiar) is said to have great connections with many of the High Schools and Colleges locally as well as on a national level. I also understand his 14U coaches are some of the best out there [the general manager (Alan Burk) and the manager (Curtis Wilkerson) of the professional Blue Thunder team.] My son has not played for this team before but after going to a couple of their workouts at their indoor facility in Keller, I can say that they run one of the best workouts of any organization I have seen. All the kids were active with different drills and there was no standing around.
As far as what kids are actually committed to this organization I am not sure about but I have heard they picked up some of the kids from the Tornados, Marshalls, Ark-La-Tex, and some of the other top organizations so if this is true they will be highly competitive.
I must admit the Blackhawks sound very appealing but the purpose of this post is to get some feedback from the baseball community.
