OK, got a VM inviting my son to Blue-Grey NC Classic tournament. I search the site for advice on this but seems like the responses avoid a direct answer on the quality of these events. Message said got name from Best in VA camp he attended last summer. Does anyone know how expensive it is to attend one of these 2 day events and is it worth it?
Background on my son is that he is a Junior starting catcher for his third year at a large pretty good varsity team. He is on a showcase team and hits really well batting close to .400 for the last year. Best average on a really good showcase team in the Fall. Biggest disadvantage he has is his size. Right now 5'9" 160lbs with a 1.9 throw down time. Had most throw outs at second last year in the district 22 out of 30. He lives and breaths baseball and has played no other sport the last 3 years.
