I see where the Yanks are talking with Larry Bowa presumably to hire him as a bench coach---are they setting up for the time Torre departs and he slides into the managerial seat?

Whoa Bowa and the New York Media? That would be a sight to see!!! Also Bowa and Torre not agreeing on some things... That will be entertaining to say the least.

Actually Cong, for anyone who isn't a fan of the Evil Empire, it sounds like a great match. Bowa and the Boss will be fun to see. Just imagine, the Yankees go on a losing streak early next year, and Steinbrenner decides to fire Torre and replace him with Bowa.

For all of Larry's faults, he is an excellent 3B coach ... probably a great fit in that respect.
