Thought I'd bump this post since no one has replied. 2013 has been getting some interest from them and they appear to perhaps be in the rebuilding phase. School has a good reputation, expensive . . .

They also just posted on their website that Collegiate Baseball News ranked their recruiting class in the top 100 and the story mentions that their 33-man roster is the largest in school history. Likely not fully funded?

Any insight would be appreciated.
I'm somewhat familar with their baseball program and I am a Bradley alum.

Bradley University is situated in an older neighborhood in Peoria, so it is somewhat landlocked. They have managed to acquire some of the surrounding property over the years and the campus has continued to grow. Bradley is a smaller, private, university with a good reputation for their engineering and business programs. Back in the day, I know they were also known for their nursing program as well. I attended the college of engineering in the Electrical Engineering program. Since it is a smaller school, I enjoyed the one on one relationship with my professors and smaller class sizes (especially in my Junior and Senior years). It is sometimes referred to as Caterpillar U since Peoria is Cat's corporate HQ and they heavily recruit from Bradley. I also found Bradley's career center very useful in helping me prepare an effective resume and performing mock interviews in preparation for the real thing. When that time came there were on campus interviews with prospective employers which ultimately lead to my first professional job. Although Bradley has grown since I attended, I would like to think it is not only due to their academic reputation but also because of their reputation as a smaller school with a great personal touch.

Bradley representatives recently visited my place of business attempting to build working partnerships with industry. They are constructing a new building which is targeted specifically for this purpose. During their visit, they also met with all the Bradley alums at my workplace to share in the progress made on campus as well as to reminesce, a nice personal touch.

My son played in the OVC so I am familar how Elvis Dominguez built a reputable program at Eastern Kentucky before his move to Bradley. From what I can gather here, it looks as though he is doing the same now for Bradley. I am also familar with Sean Lyons involvement with the Eastern Illinois program and their success during his tenure. Anoter good pickup for Bradley in my opinion. The last I knew, Bradley does play baseball in the Peoria Chiefs minor league stadium located a few miles from campus near down town Peoria. Looks to be a very nice stadium although I have never been there. I'm not sure how much practice time they see there or what kink of indoor facilities are available but that would be a good question to ask. I'm sure you already know that Bradley plays in the Missouri Valley Conference which affords some pretty good baseball in a pretty cool climate. Back in the day, Bradley played against my son's U and was touring the mid-south in tour buses playing various programs during spring break.

Sorry for being so long winded but hopefully this provides a little insight to the college and their baseball program....

Thank you so much for the insight! The alumns we know (and a random couple of parents with kids there now) seem to like the institution a lot. Your perception of the coaching staff is particularly helpful, of course. 2013 has been engaging in some email dialogue and their remarks have come across as quite sincere and useful. Through these conversations their request for him to attend their winter showcase seems to indicate genuine interest in him personally.

The conference certainly offers some good competition for this area. This showcase is one he'll attend.

Thanks again!
