Son has been accepted to both of these schools and to play baseball could any one shed some up to date info on these schools and there programs I herd N U is moving to the CAA 2005-2006 season

Both schools are fine academic institutions
Northeastern is Division I and I hear the rumors every year about them leaving America East
Brandeis is Division III and plays a fine brand of baseball and has one of the "greatest" guys in the game in Caoch Varney

I had some contact with Coach V - pesonally, I think he's a nut. This was confirmed by two others who have played there.

In defense of Coach V, and certainly does not me to defend him, he is a bit different than most you can meet but there is no "BS" with him and he knows the game as well if not better than any coach in the business--at least in my opinion

I stand corrected. "Different" is a better word. He does know baseball - probably one of the east coast's most knowledgeable coaches and he runs an excellent program. For some players and recruits they find themselves uncomfortable with him, but that could be said about a lot of coaches and most of those coaches do not have the knowledge or experience of Coach V. Thanks for correcting me and I apologize.
Northeastern is going to the CAA next year. For sure. It was in the paper a while ago, plus a good friend has a son playing there and he has talked about next year in the CAA.
