Well, what does a GM and manager agree to after their team get's spanked once again by the Twins?

That's right. Trade Brian Anderson. The loss must have been his fault. I,for one, hope that he finds his new opportunity to be a real one, and that he's not expected to be the next Willie Mays.

Boy, tough time sleeping last night? IMO, Ozzie Guillen never cared much for Anderson, and it seemed as though the team's failings were publicly placed on him more than once.

This is just one guy's opinion, and I don't understand why it put your bowels in such an uproar.

Finally, to say that I "hate KW" is an ignorant statement. I may not like his style, or his personality, but hate, no.
Let's see... William's kid gets drafted last year in the 5th round? Seems like he wasn't even a regular at Wichita State. Ozzie's kid, who hit about .130 in Advanced Rookie ball gets into an MLB Spring training game last year? There are more cases of this "White Sox family" favoritism out there too if you want to look into it.

I'm glad for Anderson - he'll be better off elsewhere. They did him a favor trading him IMO.
Anderson couldn't hit. Period. He had his chances. Look at Beckam. Look at Getz. They had rough starts, but are now hitting. Anderson never did. If he hit, everyone would have loved him and he would be the center fielder.

Rosy, you have called KW arrogant, and attcked him many times. Why bother to write negative things about him every time he makes a move. It is not worth reprinting them, but I have read them over and over. Why get your panties in a bunch because a minor leaguer was traded. You are the one who started the thread and initiated an attack on the GM. So you don't "hate" him. You just attack him on many occasions.
nc42dad, you're spot on. Nepotism runs deep in that organization.

I couldn't agree with you more. They did do him a favor by trading him. I wish him the best.

Kw has made some great moves. Alexi Ramirez and Carlos Quentin are two examples. But, do yourself a favor and stop reading my posts if you don't care for their tone or content. They're not written with you in mind. You didn't go to Stanford, did you?

In this case, KW got something for nothing.

Sorry BBDad, it looks very obvious that the 1st person in this forum that got personal with another one of us; was you. Is Kenny a relative of yours? Take a chill pill my man. Watch this, I'm gonna diss the Flubbies and nobody will take it personally. Hendry's GM miracles days are over, Soriano and Bradley just S U C K, Theriot can only play D (sometimes) and Fontenot is a midget and can't bunt and nobody else can play any middle for them, Ramirez gets hurt all the time lately because he he had to be on roids, Fukudome is as bad as Anderson and Wise combined, D Lee is a wuss his wrist hurt give me a break and he had to be on roids too take a look at the size of his melon, the best catcher on the team is Fox, Zambrano is whacked and definately has to be on something with his disposition, Hardin will never see the month of September, do they have a real closer AND, AND, Wrigley Field should be torn down its a piece of chit. Forget about the Cubs going 0-3 for a 3rd consecutive year in the NLDS, their going to lose their division by 7 games! Huh! Huh! What do ya think about that?

I defend KW because he is a good GM. I went to Northwestern, not Stanford.

I was born at Michael Reese Hospital and grew up on the South Side. I have been a Sox fan my whole life. I remeber the sirens in '59. I remeber Al Lopez' teams finishing second to the Yankees for years. I also remeber the Veck years when the team couldn't compete, and Comisky was a saloon with fights breaking out in the stands almost every ball game. The best hitter was Walt "no neck" Williams.

Now, the Sox contend almost every year. I saw a World Series victory. The team has an aging veteran moving up the all time home run list, a pitcher doing remarkable things, and rising stars like Gordon Beckam. The park is a safe an fun place to go with no obstructed view seats.

KW has had an important part in some of that, mostly keeping the team in contention each year. I was personal because Rosy consistently attacks him. I disagree with the attacks.
cplz, I'm kind of surprised at you. We are all loyal to our teams. Son's HS, travel, college, pro. But, this thing with you and DeWayne Wise surprises me. KW's addition is hitting .193,OBP.235 and .312 slugging. Now, of course he won last nights game, and that's all well and good. It isn't Cub fans that have been wailing on DW, it has been WS fans. They wanted this guy run out of town on a rail. I've got lots of Sox fans and DW is not a favorite, to put it mildly.

This is a discussion that evidently has no right or wrong, so, as for me,it's over. Now, go out and catch a big one!
Rumors are that KW is interested in a Fields for Pie swap. Its sad that he needs to trade for a .230 hitter to improve the offense in that spot. (backup outfield) Anderson would actually make more sense now that we have Kotsay, because now both of our backup OF are left handed hitters, not to mention it'd be great to have his defense in CF in late innings and his .230+ batting average is still much better than DeWayne Wise's. I feel bad that BA had to go to Boston where he'll never get a chance.
