I was a big critic of "RAYBANS" but I still don't understand how or why Mike Hamilton hired Todd Raleigh. The only thing that I can firgue out is that Todd and his staff must work cheap. Why would you ever hire a baseball coach at the University of Tennessee that has not acheived a winning record as a head coach? Let's see how they do after four more seasons.
Spidey,
Long time no see.... Sorry, but I've been hired as a special travel consultant to the Netherlands government with emphasis on Amsterdam! Got to get RD to the RLD on time.

My only note from the goverment was:
  • Do not take photos of the occupied windows - this is strictly prohibited and any attempt will be quickly stamped out.
  • Watch out for pick-pocketers, as this is almost always an extremely overcrowded area.
  • Try and go in a group or at least go in twos to avoid attracting any unwanted attention.
  • Do not buy from dealers -whether its drugs or bikes- or else you will find yourself on the other side of the law!
  • Don’t visit the Red Light District with baseball equipment! Enjoy yourself, as a trip down the RLD will leave a lasting impression.
CBG,
Coach Raleigh looks like he has done a good job building for the future.

I have noticed a couple of key points lately:

1) Baseball America ranks three Vols among top 100 college prospects

2)Tennessee has signed 12 players during the early signing period. Nine of UT signees were ranked as one of the top 10 prospects in their state by PGcrosschecker.com.

Now we just have to see if he can develop them and get results on the field.

As for hiring a coach without a winning record as a head coach, we hired a football coach that has not been a college head coach before.

Lane Kiffin was a head coach in the National Football League(NFL) which in most all circles has more clout than the college game. Like I said in an earlier post, it will take a few years to see how Todd Raleigh does at Tennessee. I do know that Todd was a huge gamble and it's not like Bruce Pearl who had won a D2 National Championship. Best of Luck to the Vols!
