An old saw comes to mind...something about rising to the level of one's incompetence.
Good for Tim McCarver. I had the awesome experience of attending the HOF induction week, last year. If any of you have the chance, or are in Up-state NY in July you should make the trip to Cooperstown for the event.
It would appear that there must be another Tim McCarver doing baseball broadcasts somewhere. Are you kidding me?
fenway- Couldn't agree more. Unbelievable.
My girlfriend recently moved into a new duplex in Cooperstown and works as a nurse at the hospital there. I was looking forward to attending the HOF induction ceremonies this summer. However I think I may take a lunch break or something when McCarver is introduced on stage to accept his award. I don't think I can stand listening to his idiocy anymore than I'm already subjected to. In my opinion he is the worst broadcaster in the game (his partner Joe Buck is a close second...I thought his call when Freese hit the HR in game 6 was pretty cool though), and the fact that he is receiving this award is incredibly disappointing.

The All-Star Catcher has been at baseball’s biggest
moments on national TV.
Shame on each of you.

Shame on FOX for ever letting that man on the air. I don't care what he did on the field, he's the worst broadcaster I've ever heard.
