My son is considering Bucknell. Can anyone share opinions or information on the school and especially the baseball team?

I did an engineering tour and general tour of the campus this year and was really impressed. While the campus is not as spectacular as some, it's really pretty, and all of the buildings, even the older ones, are very up-to-date. The dorms and classrooms may be the nicest I've seen. Fitness facilty, library, dining halls are also really nice, and the campus is huge and kind of pastoral. The area is really pretty - rolling green hills, dairy farms, lazy rivers - if you've watched the LLWS on TV you get the idea, as Williamsport is a short drive away. Academically the school is solid and very selective. It's one of the few schools in the country where you can study engineering in a fairly small college environment. I know a couple grads and they are smart guys who are fiercely loyal to the school. Lewisburg is small town with lots of colonial type charm, but it's in the middle of nowhere in a pretty cold part of the country, so kids from southern and/or urban areas my have some adapting to do, though it sounds like the school works hard to create interesting social and entertainment choices for the students.
I can't speak to the baseball program. We took a look at the field and it seems nice enough though nothing special; small stands so I got the idea that football and basketball get the big crowds.

My son RHP is interested in Bucknell too because the Bison was the league champion of the past season and good engineering program. Coach invited my son to attend the camp (10/12); but due to SAT test and flight time, he cannot make it.
I guess your son will attend this camp and good luck!! And, if you know the highest velocities recorded by pitchers atteding this camp, I'd appreciate it if you may let me know.
My son and I toured Bucknell this summer and met with the head baseball coach. The campus setting was beautiful but -- as is noted above -- is in the middle of nowhere. There is a federal prison in the town. The training facilities and baseball playing surface were pretty nice. The bleachers were just a few sets of metal bench-type that has about three rows, which made me wonder if more than a few people every come to watch the games.
DPBpitcher - My son wasn't able to attend the camp this past weekend. If anyone on the board attended please advise how the camp was.
