The tournament will run from Thursday, July 10, 2008 in the evening through Sunday, July 13, 2008 afternoon. Your $600.00 entry fee guarantees four games and baseballs will be provided for all games. There are two divisions, a sixteen under side and an eighteen under side all games are being played in Welland; we will be using Welland Stadium, Burgar Park and Memorial Park as our diamonds. Headquarters will be at the Stadium, with batting cages available next door at the Bullett Proof Baseball School.
The City of Welland is celebrating its 150th Anniversary and the tournament is one of the sporting events the city is using to showcase its recreational facilities. The city will have a lot happening during the tournament for you to partake in during your ‘downtime’ between games. Welland sits in the middle of the Niagara Region and we are about 25 minutes across the border from Buffalo, New York. The entire Niagara Region has something for everyone to enjoy, from the Welland Canals, Niagara Casino, Niagara-on the Lake Vineyards and of course Niagara Falls itself. All of these wonderful tourist areas are only minutes from Welland!
We will have four hotels from which you can choose from during your stay and we ask that all teams use these hotels as they are sponsors of the event. There are numerous eateries and shopping in Welland that all can enjoy while you are here. We will be sending out a package to the teams that are participating that will include all info you will need to make the trip as enjoyable for you and your team.
