Two scenarios I’d like to get input on. Batter shows bunt, 1B starts moving in and batter bunts. Pitcher fields it and turns to throw to first.
1) 2B is in no man’s land and pitcher has no one to throw to. That’s a hit, right?
2) 2B is late moving on the bunt still running to the bag but, because it’s not football, Pitcher leads him too far and throws it away. That’s an e1 even though it is completely the 2Bs fault? And definitely not a hit?
