Does anyone have any experience with a CA Juco player signing and tranferring to a CA State College D1 or D2 after only one season in Juco? I know if you’re a regular student you can’t transfer into the system until Junior year but what about a baseball player? Thanks.

Pretty sure you can transfer after one year. Rick Allen is your go to guy here on this site.
Why would your son transfer? Not all credits can be transfered.

In Oklahoma and Texas you can transfer from a JUCO to any 4 year state school after one year. Don't know why it would be any different in CA.
Rick Allen would be the guy but most d1,d2's take kids after 2 years. My younger son had a a couple of NAIA offers after 1 year but no teammate in 2 years JUCO went to D1 or D2 after 1 year.
As long as you were a 4 yr quailifier coming out of HS you can transfer after 1 year.
MrMac you never said why you were asking, but when I read this my thought was that for the time I've been following college baseball in CA I can't recall a Juco player moving to a Cal State after one year, until today. I was having a "whatever happened to so and so" conversation with a friend and a name came up. This kid had committed to a D1, decommitted and when the coach resigned, and gone to a Juco. I had heard that he was going to a UC but found out today that he's at a D1 Cal State instead. So that's one.
