Any insight appreciated, either in general or specific to a pitching prospect. No need to describe SoCal in general but school differences can be helpful.

The church services will be different.
Don't know Cal Baptist, other than I know a couple of non baseball kids who have gone there. CLU has a solid program, with a history of success for pitchers, as you are probably aware have been in the regionals the past two years.Very nice facilities, my son has a few friends who are either there now and or have been there and are/were happy from what I can tell. Good location for the school in rural area, per good reputation in the area. Coaching staff has a good reputation.
Gary Adcock Head Coach at Cal Baptist is one of our Goodwill Series Alumni, pitcher at UCLA and now a successful Coach.
If you meet Gary asked him about his International game at the Pro Stadium in Korea.

Thanks guys... RJM, that was funny yet somewhat telling that this is often not even a thought when it comes to choosing a school for baseball.
from a different religious service point of view I would be more concerned if it were Cal Judasim vs Cal Muslim V Cal Baptist . But you are correct, Several of the schools my son looked at were religion affiliated and had religous class requirements. didn't bother him at all but then they were affliated with a religion we follow
If this is an issue or desire either way then Cal Baptist would be much more religious than CLU. I don't know this for a fact, but I think CLU has a broader range of majors.
