Well respected academic school- last time I checked high GPA needed for admittance. Very popular college choice for CA kids.

Baseball program also well respected. Long time coach, Larry Lee, has had some success in the Big West League. New pitching coach- former CP player played in MLB (popular with players). Assistant coach, Teddy was a long time coach @ Santa Barbara City College.

Program has had several recent players be drafted or play in MiLB.

The players I know really liked/like playing there. Liked the coaches,,the school etc. Nice on-campus baseball facility with great community support. Small town atmosphere with lots of loyal local fans.
Great school and environment. Small college town life, can't really beat it from a college experience and education standpoint on the West Coast.

Program is well respected, typically upper half of the Big West, but has never really broken through to the next level.

Very nice facilities. My son was recruited by them, and he liked the coaches. He knows several players there and they seem happy. Lee can be a bit standoffish, and quiet. Only downside would be that they are half way between their major competitors and they have to travel by bus 3-4 hours for for all away games. They have a new pitching coach, the old one was not highly thought of, not sure about the new guy.
