Cal Ripken Summer League playoffs

I rarely do this, but please idulge me. I spend most of my time on this site in this forum. I thought I could share this.

Cool to see your own kin gain a little recognition from the league he's playing in. Cal Ripken League (Won't last long - it will change soon.) Turned out to be his last college summer league game. One more college spring season & we're finished.

3 RBI double!! Good stuff and a great young man. Too bad he had to play hurt most of the summer.

So what's the scoop on the Cal Ripken league??

Hmm - I guess I don't understand your question.

I was disappointed when he chose to play Cal Ripken again instead of finding a TCL team, but there were so many rainouts this year that it turned out for the best. Plus - I gained a reason to take a week trip to Baltimore this summer.

No, I meant the web page would change soon the reference will be out of date. The league is on very solid ground. They are expanding next year with at least 1 new team. It is a good league with some really nice venues. Some games are scheduled at USNA baseball field in Annapolis.
