CSN has a fairly new coach starting his third year. My son was recruited by them and I like Coach Curtis a lot. They have decent facilities, but not up to the par of most of the Big West. It is a very competitive conference, and CSN usually lives in the bottom half. I am not sure how much backing they are getting from the AD to raise up the program, but hiring Curtis was a good start IMO. I read they have a new pitching coach, and my son also liked the recruiting coach, but I just looked at their site and don’t see him there so don’t know what is happening.
The school is a bit of a commuter school so I don’t believe you will get the whole living on campus college scene as I don’t think they have dorms. If I recall the players have apartments next to the field.
School is a decent school, not upper tier, but some programs are considered very good. I think their broadcasting and drama departments are highly regarded. Engineering is decent not upper tier, not sure about the rest. It is a Cal State school which are generally a step down from the UC’s.
