I'm sending my prayers for all my friends in Yorba Linda and Chino Hills. It looks pretty bad right now.
Fires in SoCal...Our unfortunately annual occurance. Smoke is everywhere as is ash falling from the sky - and we live many miles from the fire areas. These fires are bad, but they do not seem to be as wide spread as last year's or even two-three years ago. Sylmar struck very quickly, which caused major destruction there. YL and Chino/Brea areas are now major concern. We live at the Ocean, and we have fires here too (smaller, but nevertheless dangerous) in the brush along the ocean cliffs.

We certainly can not have too much respect for these crews...they certainly have their hands full.
We pray for all of you out there in Southern California that are affected by these fires that you will be spared the fires' devastation.

Oh dear, DB2BMom just sent an e-mail letting us know that CatchMm and her family had to evacuate, and their neighbor's house is gone. Prayers for all in the path of the fires!
