Calling a coach help

Would it be a good idea to call a coach that has talked to you in the past at one of their camps on a monday(Off day) to see what tournaments he was attending this summer or to see when he wants to come and see me play. This particular coach told me that he would be following me very closely and I want to make sure that he comes to watch me play this summer because this is my #1 school choice. Would this be rude to call him during the season or do coaches like the integrity and the opportunity to follow up with recruits at this time? Any help is appreciated as I am very new to the recruiting process!

Contacting coaches at schools that you potentially will be interested in attending is never looked down upon at any point during the season. Your question is a valid one and I'm sure the coach would be happy to provide you with whatever information he has pertaining to your inquiry.
