Bob, my American School team in Korea would like to start looking into traveling to Beijing over Memorial Day weekend. A woman named May Xu tried to help us last year, but the 'package' was more than we could afford. I have e-mailed her again, hoping post-Olympics China is now cheaper again. My team is the only boys' HS sport that doesn't get off-peninsula for an event, and I'd really like to take them at least once. I am hoping our parents will be able to do some big fundraising somehow.

Would you have any advice for this potential plan?

Krak;

Today, I depart to Australia with our two teams.We will play 24 games with the State teams and South Africa.

We, recently received our invitation from Beijing for the August Tournament. The cost appear to be the same as 2007. The hotel cost depends on three star or four star hotel. Three star is OK.

Please try again as Beijing will be most receptive to your journey. Request games at Lucheng, 20 K south of the city. This is a baseball school for Northern China. Several players have been signed professional from Lucheng, which is the home of the Beijing State Team.

My son and I lived at Lucheng for one week in 1998.

Good Luck;

Bob
