TNMom - Campbellsville is where my son attends. He's a RSfreshman, having RS at a JUCO last year. They are a nationally ranked NAIA winning their conference much of the time, but have been unable to get beyond Regionals, mostly due to Cumberland in TN!
I would be happy to answer any questions you have. The school is conservative politically and religiously... we are not and that has been an adjustment for son. The academics have been harder than we anticipated with instructors that are very qualified. Son's english teacher last semester came from Notre Dame. The campus is beautiful. The town of Campbellsville is large enough to offer things like a variety of restaurants and shopping, but small enough that you would feel very safe about your son being there. The players often attended the local HS football games last fall. There appears to be great support locally for the university and the athletics.
The facilities for baseball rival many larger schools. There's a huge training staff with a great trainer's facility. The exercise facility very well stocked. There's a large indoor facility for cold weather. The locker room is nice with showers, etc. That's where the coach's offices are as well... same building as locker room.
The coaching staff is beyond compare IMO. The head coach is a true gentleman and has been there for like 17 years I think. Hopefully, that is where he'll retire from! He's approachable, fair, and baseball smart. Absolutely no complaints there!!
Here's the baseball site if you don't have the link. Again, if there's anything I can do for you or any questions, feel free to ask! I can recommend Campbellsville Baseball program 110%!!
