can you visit another college while attending another?

son, is a baseball player at a D2 college.He is
interested in a 4 year degree that another college offers and the one he attends now dose not offer.He has a scholarship at his current school.Can he attend a open house or take a campus tour at another college if he dose not talk to to the baseball coach? He is a red-shirt freshman this year, and his thinking is, he could get 3 years of his degree and play baseball to if he transfers next fall. Any advice would be helpful.We do not want to break any NCAA rules.

He can take an unofficial visit to any school he wants anytime he wishes. The NCAA rules do not come into play until he speaks (or attempts to speak)to the coaches or athletic representatives of another school.
