Quite some time ago, there was a mention somewhere on this forum about the availability of grants for Canadian students attending US colleges. Can anyone elaborate on this? Thanks.

Seeler there are no grants for Canadian students. You have academic and athletic scholarships. You can get Ontario student loans if you qualify which has a one time $3500 grant.
We received some money from the conference my son played in but not sure why. It was about $1300. I thought it was mark related but not sure.

Thanks Bobblehead. The grant I was referring to was likely related to OSAP. Are there any specific academic requirements that need to be met to qualify or is the grant automatically awarded based on the original application for the loan?
No it is a needs based loan and grant. You have to g on their site and make sure the school is approved. They have a list.
