The Canes rode the arm of Jake Cave today in the Quarters to advance to the Final 4 against Chet Lemon's Juice. Cave struck out 9 in 4 innings against Marucci Elite.

Now THAT is impressive. Awesome to see some VA boys right in the thick of things down there as the cream is rising to the top in the best high school aged baseball tournament in the world.

Other than Cave, Thompson, Beal, and Sborz (the VA kids on the Canes roster who've already committed to big time colleges), are there any other VA boys with the current team down there?

Regardless, good luck to all of them tomorrow!
Dickens is nasty. He is a submarine guy that can really pitch. His ball gets on you really quick and he is a ground ball machine. Everything he throws sinks and moves a ton. He is almost impossible to lift unless he gets the ball up. I think he may top out at 84. ECU got a gem when they picked up Dylan Dickens. The kid is going to give hitters fits at the college level.
Congratulations to the Canes on a great run!
Congrats to the Dirtbags for a great achievement!

I particularly congratulate all the soft-tossers, for whom I have a special affection. Last time I checked, the game is won by the team that gets to 21 outs first, while allowing the fewest runs ... not by how fast the players throw the ball.

I applaud all of the Players and Coaches for their success in what was a terrific and very competitive tournament.
