First 15 or so Minutes
1) Coaches introduce themselves/ Stretch
Next Hour: Hitting
1)Players are divided into 5 groups over 8 Cages and one fullsized infield
2) Groups rotate clockwise while coaches rotate counter clockwise
3) 4 or 5 coaches to a set of cages ( 2 throwing others evaluating and instructing)
4) "Pitchers Only" will work with a coach and be put through a sort of "pitchers workout" during this time
Next two hours: Position Breakdown
1)Outfielders on large s****r field. Infielders on infield
2) Both groups recieved instruction at their respective position/ throw
3) Showcase time: Outfielders went first: recieve 3 ground balls and 2 over the shoulder fly balls on s****r field. ( All coaches in attendance)
4) Infielders are next: All coaches return to infield: Each player gets 4 straight ground balls and then double plays. ( All coaches in attendance)
5) Pitchers: 6 Pitching mounds brought onto infield..about 3 or 4 coaches behind each screen evaluating ( behind each catcher at the respective mound) The rest were behind the mound evaluating and instructing.
There was also a little down time so the total time was a little over 4 hours
1)Each player recieve a nice nike dry fit shirt with the camp logo being the color of their respective class ( Green: 2013, red: 2012, etc.)
2)Each player had a number on the back of their shirt which stated who they were so college coaches could easily locate them on their evaluation sheets.
3) each player recieved a wristband that told them their number, hitting group, and fielding grou.
Phenomenal Camp, Phenomenal Exposure, Phenomenal Coaches, Phenomenal Facility.. Cannot wait to go back next year...Coaches were already asking players if they received the email they sent them during the week.
