My son started using it in the spring to send out introductions and schedules for the summer. He likes being able to see who looks at his profile so he can follow up with them. The only thing we don't like are the only e-mail addresses in the system are head coaches and no recruiting coordinators. He has had almost 100% of him e-mails opened and a high number who looked at his profile. It's more expensive than be recruited.com but there is a lot of bang for the buck. Now that he can be emailed there is even a greater response from some coaches.
I recently have gone through this process as a player. i have found that most of these sites are not worth the money. the best way to be recruited in my mind is to target schools youre interested in and go to their recruiting camp. most of the time there will be additional schools there. make sure to send follow up emails asking for feedback from the camp. establishing a connection with the coach is important. do not send a generic email to every coach in attendance, make it more personal. hope this helps

2013 definitely was contacted by coaches who searched berecruited and found him. But all of his initial contact with coaches was through direct, personal emails, not blasts.

CaptainU sent him his first email last summer indicating that a coach had found him through their service, and I posted a similar thread here because we had never heard of them, either. We have never subscribed or anything, and he now receives at least one or two messages a day that he has been viewed. We're not sure who is seeing him - or what they are seeing - and he has been committed since December, which they would learn from a very quick Google search of his name and the word "baseball" or our hometown.
