Cards over the Tigers in 5 or 6

The Cards are looking just like last year's sox. Played over their heads most of the season, crashing back to earth down the stretch and barely making the playoffs. And just like last year's sox the Cards are finding out there aren't any really outstanding teams in MLB, so the playoffs aren't turning out to be so tough...just like last year.

ML Baseball is mediocre at best, so expect some other team to do the same thing next year.

Cardinals win the WS in 5 or 6 over the Champs of "The best division in baseball." I take that back, the wild card team, The Tigers.

You could be right about this, but I wouldn't count the Tigers out. I think if either the Mets or Cards get in, you will see a great World Series, game-for-game, and team-for-team. You have three of the best managers in baseball, two of which could get into the hall of fame. This is where the differences will occur in the games, managing the line-ups which they are dealt on those days, plus figuring out the pitching, rotation and bullpen.

Wow, I wonder what the Yankees and A's think about that statement Dad! I happen to think there's some very good talent in the playoffs, starting with the Tigers who have played amazing baseball!!! Andddd, like TR says, Cards nor Mets are shabby teams. Either one could easily be there to celebrate with Detroit fans!

You sound like one of those guys in the commericals with Tommy Lasorda! Come down out of the tree Dad!

Being a life long Cardinal fan Ican assure you that if they get to World Series at all....Tony deserves a medal..... This is the worst Cardinal team they have put on field the last 10 years........Pitching is terrible.... Compared to their opening day lineup this team has OVERACHIEVED!!! Mets and Tigers are LOADED.......but never count Tony and the Cards out...... Game 5 the key.... Carpenter and Suppan in the wings.... It could be another attempt to Outslug the Mets to get there

Wow. Just came across this. FastballDad, you should send this to the guys at SI. You are obviously much better at predictions than they are.
