I agree. Over the past few months I have studied a ton of catching and quarterback still photos and videos, and see many similarities between the two throwing motions.

I have two catchers I am working with now that have a tendency to push the baseball when throwing and/or drop down 3/4. Looking to incorporate some drills with the football more for throwing form and mechanics than building arm strength.

For arm strength we use long toss and the Wolforth weighted ball program.
throwing the football is less taxing on the wing, thats the main reason we throw it. well that, and because its fun.we throw long because its challenging and a good workout. the arm action and body mechanics are the same.we work on getting our front foot down to the T. he throws "bullets" and i throw "bombs".i cant play long toss with him with a baseball but i can with a football so maybe thats why he likes it.and i agree CC05 for arm strength there's no substitute for long toss with a baseball.
