Senior son got one of these and thought it rather cool. You know, you can always pick out the catcher by the guy carrying the huge bag (or dragging it) behind him. This backpack allowed him to carry all his stuff on his back.

He even said a couple times it reminded him of being a soldier or warrior with all the attachments.

He fit his batting helmet, catching helmet and glove in the inside pocket.

Might be something to consider.

If I think of any more I will let you know. Funny though, after 7 or so sets of catcher gear we have bought over the years, getting the actual equipment for Christmas becomes less of a "surprise."

My son was a catcher and I always thought it was easy to buy Christmas for him. Here are some of the things I have bought him for Christmas (not at the same time)
1. A package of 5 lessons.
2. A dozen baseballs
3. Catchers mitt
4. Tape (to wrap wrists)
5. Atech Soft toss machine.
6. Wrist Rocket
7. Gyro Ball
8. Good Sunglasses
9. Bats
10. H. A. Dorfman Books
11. New lawnmower Big Grin

This Christmas my son will get his first set of shin guards,chest protector and mitt from Santa Claus.I allready gave him a hockey style helmet earlier this year.I can see him wearing it every second of the day until his season starts in a couple of weeks.
