Catchers Mitt Size

I like both sizes. Mostly use a 32.5 though. Don't like anything above a 33".

Are you going to throw anyone out during BP, if not glove size doesn't matter. Bigger would be better.

This question is for CatchingCoach or other experienced catchers out there. For an actual game, is the 34" a more common choice when catching junk ball pitchers (knuckle balls, etc)? I've always used the reasoning that the 32 1/2" is the standard when catching for a regular pitcher since it has a more shallow pocket making for an easier transfer.

If you are just catching pens for your son, get a 34" Wilson A2000. As he starts adding more movement to his pitches, you'll need every inch of it as most of us Dads aren't as quick as we used to be.

Actually the 34" Wilson is one of the more popular mitts used by college catchers over the past few years.
