in spring training in 2000, while with the expos, we used the infield disk trainer to develop soft hands?? i saw it created a lot of bad habits for the younger kids. i designed a glove and gave it to the people at All-Star to make me a couple. I wanted it for teaching in the off season. the following spring they decided to put it in their catalog and on their production line.

the glove is the cm100tm and it forces you to receive the ball between your thumb and first finger. it also is used to develop quick hands and is good for blocking, bunts, and plays at the plate.

the glove is also durable to use in bullpens (the last 2 years of my career i would catch pens with it). it is currently being used by college and pro teams. it is in the All-Star catalog or if you want a pic of it simply send me an email at catchaprospect@yahoo.com.

you can use other devices but unlike the saucer gloves people use with catchers to practice transfer....this one actually allows you to catch it, i think they retail for about $70. i know a lot of kids just out of tee ball use them because the other gloves are too big for them and this fits them better and is durable

i tried to put a picture on the post but it didnt work.. email me and i will send you a pic.. its a pretty neat little glove
