I wasn't aware of that change, where is that stated, must have missed it.
I am not so sure that any picks between 40-50 make it past their first draft season. Most don't sign and some teams do not even make it to 50. These picks used to fill up the complex league teams, now filled mostly with very young latin american players.

For those feeling the need to make a comment that this is unfair, going off to college is a much better option.
LOL TPM! Right now my concerns lie with those of us whose sons have been to college and are now on their 4th year! I know of at least another who shares my concerns. But, If our sons are selected in next years draft, I doubt it would be at the tail end. Either MiLB wants them or they don't and I am preparing myself for either outcome as best as I can.
